All competition levels.
Springfield, MO is located within 75 miles of the population center
of the United States, with 50% of the population living within 10
hours' driving distance from Springfield. This is a wonderful advantage
to traveling teams in order to get good competition and not have
to travel across the U.S.
SMBC wants to give youth an excellent experience and give them
an opportunity to see the highest level of competition to help them
better prepare for their future in basketball. We use the finest
gyms in the area, and the most recommended referees. We even bring
referees in from Oklahoma and other areas in Missouri.
SMBC has been awarded the boys 10-and-under national AAU Championships
to be hosted in Springfield 2004, 2005, and 2006.
SMBC hosts the Mid-America Youth Basketball summer and winter tournaments.
This will be the 5th year for the MAYB summer tournament. And this
year, SMBC expects 120 teams May 31st through June 2.
SMBC hosts tournaments in other areas of Missouri. Last year, we
hosted the MAYB tournament in Columbia and Branson. This year Rolla
will be added.
SMBC is hosting the AAU Subregionals in April, 2002. This is the
first year for these tournaments. This will give more AAU teams
a chance to qualify for the AAU Nationals. It is another wonderful
opportunity for area athletes.
SMBC is hosting ARC tournaments starting in February, 2002. ARC
is from California, and teams can qualify for the ARC Nationals
in Las Vegas.
